This lovely vintage table mat has been beautifully embroidered predominantly in satin stitch. The motif is sprays of small florals in dusty rose, purple and lavender. The border is hand made bobbin lace in green and white that has been machine sewn onto the mat. The fabric is all linen I think but it is quite old and may have some cotton in it.
No stains or holes but a couple of the flowers have lost a petal. Easy to repair or easier to ignore. The mat is 17 inches in diameter including the lace edge.
