A mint condition mug from Tonala pottery in Mexico. The decoration on the mug is conservative for Mexican pottery and features what looks like agave leaves. Blue and olive stripes border it top and bottom.
It is signed on the bottom Tonala Jal, Mex. M..(?), 357. The ? stands for I can't make out what comes after the M.
Tonala pottery uses safe glazes so this can be used as a mug or as a pencil holder, or just add it to the shelf with your Tonala pottery collection. It is 4.5 inches high.
Note: The bird in the picture no longer exists and is not included in this listing.
