Doilies like this were meant to serve as bases for other objects and this one would serve a figurine or budvase well. The linen center is 3 inches in diameter and the total size is 8 inches across. The linen is lavishly surrounded with hand crochet. There is what looks like a pulled thread in the linen but is probably an unevenness in the weave. It will not show and does not weaken the piece. This is a useful doily in perfect condition.
