If you married Freida Kahlo and Marc Chagall, this vase is what their resulting offspring might have made.
A fantastic piece of terra cotta clay ceramic that has been painted in black and white and glazed. The result is a real art piece in the shape of a vase or wine ewer; note the lip in the rim.
The design is of a floating human male figure and a kneeling female figure. The white birds also add a Chagall like atmosphere to the work. On the back is a tree with black dots that may be symbolic of olives and thus add another purpose of olive oil container. On the bottom is a painted head of a woman with the heavy eyebrows indicative of Freida Kahlo. It is 7.5 inches tall.
***I would not use this as other than decorative as I do not know where it was made or what could be in the glaze.
