I really don't know what this bell is made of as every bit of the interior and exterior is covered. It is breakable but whether it is china, ceramic, or porcelain I can't say.
The bell is elegant inside or out. The swirled and fluted shape is dark, dark green inside and textured gold on the outside. A design of roses and foliage is drawn on the exterior with tiny caviar beading. The colors are filled in with what I perceive to be enamel. The clapper is gold tone metal. It has a piece of ribbon tied around the stem. (Easy to remove if you don't like it.) The bell is 4 inches tall and the condition is perfect.
This is surely a bell the dowager countess, Lady Violet Grantley would deem worthy for summoning tea.
