This pair of vintage pillowcases are hand embroidered and cross-stitched on 100% cotton Springmaid standard size pillowcases. They measure 20 x 30 inches not counting the crocheted lace.
The design is cross-stitch roses in wine red and embroidered dark pink daisies with foliage. The daisies have french knot centers. The edging is hand crocheted that is hand stitched on to the fabric. It is made of variegated green crochet thread. It is about 1/2 inch deep.
These pillowcases are in very good condition. There is no sign of wear but one has a small spot (see photo) that lightened by 50% in one treatment. It may lighten further with further treatment. The other case is perfect.
