In May 1980 Mt. St. Helens erupted spilling lava and destruction over a wide area. Several creative types in the Pacific North West capitalized on the white stuff and began making hand sculpted figurines from the volcanic ash. This figure of 2 pigs was hand made by Mt. St. Helens Sculptures in Seattle, Washington.
The pigs are solid and in very good condition. The ash is white and the figure has been rubbed with gray (not paint or glaze). The original manufacturer sticker is still present. The piece is roughly 3 x 3 x 3 inches. It is heavy, weighing over 2 pounds once packed.
