These mats (the listing is for 2 mats) are so elegant. They would be absolutely wonderful on matching end tables or night stands. And what an elegant way to present a tray.
They are embroidered in the Marghab style. I do not claim them to be Marghab as they came from an estate with no tags or labels and no provenance, but the workmanship and techniques used are similar. The design is flowers on stems with leaves forming a frame around the place mat. Midway on each side are 7 rows of threadwork.
These are great and would make a really special gift for someone very special in your life. They measure 11 x 16 inches each. Only flaw is shown in the corner where some threads in the hem have broken. On one corner of one mat only.
