This salad serving set of fork and spoon are made of old plastic but I can't be more specific than to say I don't think they are bakelite. No odor under hot water. The utensil ends are more like celluloid and the grip handles which are painted a gold tone feel like a different plastic. They are attached to the fork and spoon part and not one piece construction. They are 12 inches long. Other than a faint black mark on the back of the spoon (about ΒΌ inch long) they are in excellent almost mint condition. These are breakable plastic so I doubt many of them have survived.
